Food is very high quality authentic Cantonese style. Roast pork and Peking duck are so delicious . Spare ribs with supreme soya sauce is also very yummy. The waiters are very friendly. There is a big Parking lot and inside the same plaza as Ranch 99 market.
My family and extended family came here for dinner. The first thing you notice is that they built out their outside dining area. It looks pretty nice with heat lamps. We had reservations, so when we walked in, we were prompted seated because our table was right by the front door!!! Mayflower is remodeling their restaurant, which we didn't know, but the main dining area is all sheetrocked up. It's very small at the moment, but enough for 4-5 big tables. They should finish by the end of May 2024. The service was excellent! Hostess was very friendly, helpful, and pleasant. Frank, the floor manager, is always friendly and accommodating. Set Dinner - Complimentary pickled vegetables (daikon, carrot, cucumber) Disclaimer: My uncle pre-ordered the meal, so I don't know the exact names of the dishes. *Assorted appetizers with a suckling pig (ocean salad, jellyfish, beef shank, marinated baby Octopus). It's one of my favorite dishes as a kid. It still is. *Lettuce Cup with minced chicken. My wife really likes this dish. *Yellow chives and julienned meat/bamboo shoot soup. *Sautéed scallops & prawns with snap peas. Both the prawns and scallops cooked perfectly, and the snap peas added a nice crunch. *Abalone with sauteed Pea sprouts. The abalone was tender and fairly thick slices. The Pea sprouts were sauteed nicely with garlic. *Lobster with ginger & scallion. Fresh tasting lobster, which was easy to pry out of the shell. *Steamed whole fish. The sauce is simple, green onion slivers, ginger slivers, soy sauce, and heated oil. Yummy. *Peking Duck - crispy skin and juicy meat. They use the steamed buns, which you can add hosin sauce, green onion slivers, with your duck meat and skin. Yum *Diced seafood fried rice. Little pieces of scallops and prawns mixed in with the fried rice (no pic). *Dessert (almond cookie topped withsesame seeds, guava jelly with guava whipped cream, sweet red bean soup)
Craving dimsum today, I placed my order for pick-up, the efficiency and friendliness of the staff were apparent. Despite the rush, they managed to take my order swiftly and accurately, ensuring my cravings would soon be satisfied. Despite the bustling atmosphere, the staff remained attentive and accommodating, ensuring that every customer's needs were met with a smile.
Sunday dinner review Half of restaurant was partitioned off for private event (no acoustical separation). Rest of tables mostly filled - trend towards middle aged/seniors crowd. Ordered: 1. Sizzling beef - beef chewy, on salty side 2. Pea spout with tofu skin - fresh and light tasting 3. Rock cod clay pot - savory and little saucey. Didn't expect fish to be fried. Large portion Will be closed in April for remodeling. They're already working on permanent outdoor patio seating in front of restaurant.
My review is for their banquet style dinner, since I came here for a friend's birthday in one of their private rooms. I haven't tried the dim sum options yet, but the dishes they served during the Chinese banquet meal were absolutely delicious! We had so many different options to try, with lots of different proteins and vegetables, and nothing was overly oily or salty (though I wouldn't recommend this for anyone who's vegan or has a seafood allergy). I liked the birds nest soup and all of the scallop/shrimp dishes the most! Our waiter was super accommodating and kept checking with us to see when they should start serving the food - and despite language barriers, everyone still had a great time and they even brought out extra desserts (the baked tapioca pudding - which I definitely ate too much of cause I love custard lol) for our large party of 20+. Overly, was very satisfied by both the food and service here, and considering how many leftovers we had they even gave us takeout boxes to bring food home haha
